In God's new creation, life begins with death, and the ongoing life that follows is a crucified life. To the non-spiritual person, such terminology sounds like nonsense, but for those whose eyes have been opened, it is a concept that carries profound meaning. Although it is a difficult and highly spiritual concept, its practical implications get right to the heart of most, if not all, of our problems. many of the problems that arise in our homes and in our churches can be traced to, or arise because of, a failure to live the crucified life.

Lord, we want that love in our own hearts and in our families and in our communities and in our churches. Let the Holy Spirit have His way in our lives. In Thy name we pray. Amen.
